  • know statistics, number of visitors and frequency of use of the various elements that make up the site (sections and contents consulted, etc.);
  • improve the attractiveness and ergonomics of the site;
  • adapt the site submission to the display preferences of the terminal used during user visits to the site, based on the device and visualization or reading software provided by the terminal in use;
  • store information about a completed form on the site;
  • allow access to confidential and personalized areas on the site, using identifiers or data previously communicated by the user;
  • apply security measures, especially when it is required to retry private reserve access after a period of inactivity by the user.

03. Types of cookies
Per ottimizzare la tua esperienza anche nella gestione dei cookie, abbiamo deciso di organizzare quelli utilizzati da questo sito in due categorie, in base alle finalità perseguite: Essential cookies and Analytical cookies.

Essential cookies
These cookies are essential to allow the user to browse the site and use all its features. Without these cookies, which are absolutely necessary, we would not be able to provide certain services or features and browsing the Website would not be as easy as it should be.

_cfduid: this cookie is used to ignore all security restrictions based on the IP address from which the visitor comes. It does not store personal data and information. It is an extremely important cookie for website security operations and cannot be deactivated.

Third-parts cookies:
By visiting a website you can receive cookies both from the visited site ("owners"), and from sites managed by other organizations ("third part"). A notable example is the presence of "social plugins" for AddThis, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, etc. These are parts of the page visited generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks.

The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parts. The management of the information collected by "third parts" is governed by the relative information to which reference is made. To guarantee greater transparency and convenience, the following web addresses of the various information and methods for managing cookies are given below.

__atuvc: this cookie is associated with the AddThis widget commonly integrated into websites to allow visitors to share content with different platforms that focus on the representation of connections between users (Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.). Stores the number of shares on a page. Although PPG does not offer advertising space on its sites, AddThis may use non-personal information collected during visits to ensure that other sites show advertisements about products and services that may be of interest to you.
__atuvs: this cookie is associated with the AddThis widget commonly integrated into websites to allow visitors to share content with different platforms that focus on the representation of connections between users (Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.). It is believed to be a new AddThis cookie not yet documented, but categorized according to the assumption that serves a purpose similar to other cookies set by the service.
bt2: used by the social sharing platform AddThis to keep a record of the parts of the site that have been visited in order to recommend other parts of the site.
di2: not classified.
loc: geolocation, which is used to help providers determine how users who share information with each other are geographically located (state of belonging).
mus: not classified.
uid: user ID and login time tracking.
um: records the sharing of content by users through social media.
uvc: notes how often the social sharing service, AddThis, meets the same user.
vc: used by the social sharing platform AddThis.

AddThis (configuration): http://www.addthis.com/get/social

Facebook (configuration): log in to your account. Privacy section.

Twitter (configuration): https://twitter.com/settings/security

Analytical cookies (Google Analytics)
These cookies allow you to collect data on the use of the website by the user, including the elements on which you click during navigation, in order to improve the performance and design of the site, also help us to understand every difficulty that the user can meet in the use of the Website. The cookies in question are used exclusively for the purposes related to the management of our website.

_ga: used to distinguish unique users, assigning them a unique and identifying number, generated randomly.
_gat: used to speed up the request speed, limiting the collection of data on high traffic sites.
_gid: used to store and update a unique value for each page visited.

By default, Google Analytics uses the full IP address of users of a website to provide general geographic data in reports. This site instead anonymizes the IP. This means that Google Analytics removes the last octet from the user's IP address before using it and storing it. This reduces the accuracy of geographical ratios slightly.

04. How to refuse/delete cookies
The storage of cookies on our site on the terminal is basically subject to the user's will, who, at the first access on the home page of the site, through a popup warning placed in the header of the page, may or may not decide to accept them. If the user accepts to store cookies in the browser of his terminal, the cookies integrated into the pages and the contents consulted may be temporarily stored in a dedicated space of his terminal. If the user refuses to store cookies in his terminal, or if he deletes the stored cookies, he will no longer be able to take advantage of a series of features of our site.

The site and its administrator have no control over cookies that are used by third parts so to deepen the topic we recommend that you consult the privacy policies of these third parts as well as options to disable the collection of this information. The administrator of this site cannot therefore control the activities of advertisers. You can still disable cookies directly from your browser. For more detailed information regarding the options for disabling cookies, here there is the list of links for configuring the most popular browsers:

It is therefore possible to check and delete individual cookies using the settings of most browsers. However, this may prevent you from properly using certain features of our website. To find out more you can refer to aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org
